Today President Elect Barack Obama selected Timothy Geithner, 47, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, as his Treasury Secretary. Geithner, who speaks Chinese and Japanese, as well as finance, is widely lauded as the right man for the job.

I can completely understand the reluctance - sometimes the complete refusal - to give up one's pet.  My own two, Kailie and Kuma, are like our children to my wife and me.

I checked the website of Senator Alexander and Corker to see if they are doing anything on the widespread reports of fraud at the hands of ACORN.  I haven’t come up with comments or pressers from either one, though I do know Alexander has offered legislation in the past to deal with voter issues such as ensuring our military ballots are counted.
