I have finally gone through Live Nation's Q3 results and earnings call transcripts. A few things stand out. The integration of acquisitions and cost management have resulted in a stronger profit ahead of larger impacts from in-house ticketing and multi-rights contracts.

There's been a lot of discussion lately on "sticky prices." Essentially, when the price on a good goes up, it tends to stay there. Whereas some companies (mainly large ones) kept their prices down during the recent spike in fuel costs, others had to pass those along to the end user.
Utility Shutoff Notices Soaring: "I just didn't have the money to pay...Rent had to be paid, and food for the girls."
