In recognition of tomorrow’s holiday, I humbly submit the following:

I am thankful for the friendships that have persisted and those that have grown in the past year. It is always a pleasure when we come together, whether that be to celebrate milestones or just dropping in for a quick meal while in town.

Ok, so I've been having lots of changes - transitions taking place in my life, in the past month. Time to review and revise just about everything. I have now been in a place of my own for a month, after 3 years of homelessness. My kids are growing up fast. My relationship with my ex-wife seems to be on the mends - we just might end up being friends after all. I've been blogging less, and

I’m old-fashioned, and my gut instinct is to say “you should politely decline. We cannot allow there to be friendship or a perception of friendship with sources.”

Secularists are often branded as elitists. I am nothing of the sort. I do not believe myself to be inherently superior to anyone. I am perfectly capable of being friends with people that do not accept my contentions, as long they can agree to disagree. My basic criticism of politicized religion is not even a call to action, its just philosophy.
