fireworks

I saw this and had to post it:

The Donkey’s Mouth took a hiatus from blogging last week as we travelled to Denver for the Democratic National Convention.  And we have pictures from the last night at Mile High Stadium (to be posted later) inluding shots from Bill Richardson, Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and of course the fireworks . . . everyone loves fireworks regardless of their political stripes.

I’m listening to the roll call on CSPAN online. We’re up to Montana at this point. So far, the only fireworks have been the surprise unanimous allottment of delegates from Arkansas to Barack Obama.

if you happened to be following me on twitter you might have noticed that i missed donald miller giving the benediction for the dnc last night (i watched pbs coverage, should have gone with the cspan).

I really think there may be some fireworks at the Democratic Convention.  As tenacious as Bill Clinton is, Hillary is even more of a pit bull.  They are going to go down swinging for sure. I’m not sure if it is at all possible for her to walk out of there with the nomination, but it would be really interesting.  I think I may have to watch.

if you have been around for very long, you know I LOVE THE WEATHER. ever since i saw my first tornado when i was five years old, i became obsessed. i would literally sit for hours and just watch the weather channel. no saturday morning cartoons for me. nope. give me mark mancuso anyday.

Yes, I survived Athens. The city didn’t actually seem so bad from the 21st floor of our hotel (the pool bar).
