I held off writing about last nights town council workshop to figure out the best expressive word to describe part of it. 'Shocking' is the best way to describe it.

It’s the weekend before Miss C’s spring break, only I’m not feeling so spring breakish. She was sent home from school yesterday and today was diagnosed with strep. Thankfully we hadn’t booked a Caribbean cruise, although we could all really use one. Still, I’m hoping that she’ll be feeling good by Monday so we can enjoy having the week off.

“Now I get sick only when I go back to America… My American friends were shoveling platefuls of leftover food into the garbage disposal. I threw up all over the counter. I had forgotten what perfectly good food looked like going down the drain to the sewer. It was like watching a disgustingly drunk billionaire burn hundred-dollar bills in front of beggars.

I've been waiting for my opportunity to blog something about the 2008 CES in Vegas.  Today, I weigh in:

We are open Christmas Eve until around 9pm or so. I will be there from 6pm to stay open for those that want to stop by and say hi and bowl a game or two before you head off to the family.

Now on Christmas day we will be open again at 3pm and going 24 hours until next yr. I will be coming in at 11pm to spend the evening with all you party animals so come have a cold beer with me.
