I guess it all assists with decreasing the demand, but frankly, I''m tired of having to pay for the greed and avarice of politicians and oilmen who profit on the backs of hardworking Americans.

It feels like that when a (CNN-dubed) “influential republican senator” finally agrees with me, in part, on how to conserve gas — lower the speed limit on highways.

Sen. John Warner, R-Va., has indicated that Congress may want to consider reimposing a national speed limit in an effort to curtail gasoline consumption. I have been expecting this. He has asked Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman to look into what speed limit would provide the optimum gasoline efficiency.

I hope Senator Alexander keeps up the effort to allow Americans the ability to access our own natural resources.
